COVID-19 Updates

IMPORTANT COVID 19 UPDATES

To our patients:

These have been a difficult few months and will continue to be as we do the best we can to stay healthy and safe.

As a result we have made many changes to limit patient flow and limit exposure to patients and staff.  We have also added TELEHEALTH/TELEMEDICINE visits as an options.

OFFICE HOURS:  As of now our office hours may be changing depending on the course of the epidemic and need of our patients.

We are available on the phone when we are open and you can always send us an e-mail regarding an appointment, prescription or pathology result.

Please be patient as we had to reduce staff in order to maintain social distancing.

OFFICE VISITS:  Our waiting room is fairly spacious and we have reduced the number of chairs and spaced them apart.  You may be the only person in the room when you arrive.  You have the option to check in as usual or to call us from your car when you arrive and we will call you when a room becomes available and escort you directly into the exam room.  We will perform temperature screenings at our discretion.  If you are not feeling well, please let us know prior to your arrival and we will determine if it is safe for you to be seen.  If you have a fever, cough, loss of sense of smell or taste, shortness of breath, diarrhea, muscle aches or feel unwell it is best for you to stay home and we can try to see you via a real time video  Telehealth appointment.   If you have been in contact with anyone with these symptoms or have traveled in the past two weeks is is also important to tell us so that we can reschedule your appointment or set up a Telehealth visit.  TELLING US IF ANY OF THESE ISSUES APPLY WILL KEEP EVERYONE SAFE.

If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have been sick, you may be seen if 14 days have passed since onset of symptoms AND you have been fever free without taking fever reducing medications, like Tylenol or ibuprofen for, 72 hours and your symptoms have been improving.

PROVIDERS/STAFF: We may be changing providers’ schedules over the upcoming weeks.  Please be flexible, you may need to see a different provider or be asked to come on a different date or time. We appreciate your flexibility and patience.

NO VISITORS: At this time we are not allowing anyone other than the patient into the office.  Exceptions will be made for minor children or patients who need special assistance.

SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS: In an effort to reduce patients going to emergency rooms and urgent care centers, we are offering same day appointments for urgent dermatologic problems.
